Julie Cassidy is an Animal Health Technician within the Fontainebleau Veterinary Clinic. She joined the Fontainebleau Veterinary Clinic team naturally, convincing without effort of her numerous talents and abilities to practice this exciting and complex profession.
Her studies and professional career path
After following a training course within the Académie de Médecine Vétérinaire du Québec (AMVQ), Julie left with a degree from the Ministère – Secondary V. Since 1996, she is trained as an Animal Health Technician within the Rosemère Veterinary Clinic. Sustained by Dr Joanne Corbeil, she has been recognized as a Technician at the end of her studies by l’Ordre des Médecins Vétérinaires du Québec (OMVQ).
In March and November 2012, Julie Cassidy worked within a very reputable Veterinary Hospital in Labrador City, the Labwest Veterinary Services.
These last few years, Julie Cassidy has therefore had the occasion to practice very many responsibilities. She started as an animal keeper, next she became Chief Animal Health Technician. From her skills’ viewpoint, by no means insignificant, the management of a whole department was entrusted to her. Her efficiency was recognized by all, professionals and clients of the region. Within the Rosemère Clinic, it was therefore natural to promote her quickly as Chief Technician.
The Veterinary Medicine seems to not have any more secrets for this Veterinary Technician having developed many skills all along her career.
Julie Cassidy has thus assisted many surgical operations and done some scaling sessions on different animals. She was appointed to X-ray photography services, blood test services and she also acquired the techniques for the installation of intravenous solutions. She dealt by herself with numerous client consultations and was valued for her meticulousness and attention towards the animals.
Our experienced technician also has great qualities in administration. These last fifteen years, Julie Cassidy had the opportunity to take care of numerous tasks, such as the planning of the employees’ schedule, the upkeep of different equipment, ordering every week the material needed and the elaboration of the Rosemère Clinic renovation plan. She was also entrusted with the responsibility of hiring and dismissing certain employees, and meeting with representatives of the health world.
Julie Cassidy masters the recent computer programs, and more specifically the Alisvet software, a leading software in the veterinary circle. She also masters the Minimum of Cornerstone (used at the Veterinary Hospital in Labrador City). She speaks fluently in French and English and she is endowed with a very good relational sense.
Her role within the Fontainebleau Veterinary Clinic
Within the Fontainebleau Veterinary Clinic, Julie Cassidy was nominated General Technician. She is in charge of the medical consultations and the animal surgery unit. Armed with a developped experience in surgery, it is quite naturally that she was designated as technician responsible for the surgical department. Mastering the surgical modern techniques, she leads with care and precision different operations done on dozens of animal species coming to the Clinic.
Very considerate towards animals and endowed with a great professionalism, Julie Cassidy’s strong skills as an Animal Technician are no longer to be proven and they are praised throughout the whole region.
