Her Career Path
Annie has been a certified animal health technician for many years. During that time, she has accomplished many different tasks and studies which makes her an incredible and reliable colleague. Her teammates can always count on her efficiency and knowledge. She completed her studies as a tech at the Lapocatière College from 2000 to 2003.
From 2003 to 2007 she experienced many different working environments. She started her career at the centre DMV in Lachine, followed by l’Hôpital Vétérinaire Daubigny in Quebec. Then, she worked at l’Hôpital Vétérinaire Lesage-Robin-Tousignant in Quebec and finally at l’Hôpital Vétérinaire Rive-Nord in Trois-Rivières. During all those years, she experienced many different departments which makes her the accomplished and diversified technician that she is. She was in imaging, surgery, internal medicine, ophtalmology and emergency. She is a well-informed, knowledgeable technician that can perform many tasks at once.
During these years, she continued her education while working. In 2006, she obtained a college degree (DEC) in health science, followed by a certificate in Biophysics at the University of Quebec in Trois-Rivières. In 2007, she obtained her diploma for nail application techniques at l’institut Joan Beauté in Ste-Thérèse. She received a certification in ENTSA in 2008. Then, she was promoted as head technician at the DMV center in Lachine. This position helped Annie develop other qualities such as, managing emergencies, prioritization of cases, time efficiency and finally, her leadership towards her colleages. She is, without a doubt, a key technician that not only her peers go to, but also the veterinarians because of her quick and experienced decisions. She does not tolerate forgetfulness and inefficiency!
Annie did not only work with animals. She also accomplished a technique in inhalotherapy (respiratory therapy) from 2007 to 2011 at Collège Rosemont de Montréal, therefore giving the opportunity to work at St-Justine Hospital. Her knowledge in pediatrics added a string to her already full bow!
Eventhough she has a full plate, she does not only work. She is a mother to 2 young daughters whom she adores and who keep her very busy! On top of that, she created her own pastry business called: ‘Les Petits Plaisirs Coupables d’Annie’. Finally, her most recent hobby is raising chickens… That’s right!
Needless to say, Annie is by far a woman out of the norm! She is efficient beyond belief, she has a wealth of clinical information and she is an ally for all the members of the team. She is professionnal, witty and her remarkable sense of humour makes everyone (clients and staff) want to be around her.
We feel very lucky to have her amongst us since Febuary 2015!
